    Recent Gigs

    Cole’s been busy performing at an array of different events/venues over the last year, heres just a few highlights of some of those gigs:

    August –  (6th & 7th) Cole Stacey & The Story play @ the international Sidmouth Folk Festival. The thursday morning gig saw sunshine, crowds, guest harmonica players and very small drum kits.  Pictured is Cole, Oscar Hammond, Scott Ward & Terry Talbot.

    June/July – Cole was very busy playing at a wide range of venues including ‘The Smugglers Bar’, The broad Street Bistro, The London Inn and Exmouth Folk Club. He had gigs alongside ‘BlimeyOhRiley’ and Steve Waters at 3 of these gigs. More photos of some of these gigs can be seen on Cole’s Facebook page

    May 24th & 25- The 24th May was a beautiful outdoor gig @ Exmouth Festival. A great venue at the Manor Gardens and the best on stage sound this side of Wembley.     May25th was Sandford Festival. Cole was joined on stage by Oscar Hammond who provided wonderful keyboard,percussion and vocal accompaniment. Definitely one of the most intimate and enjoyable acoustic gigs.


    March 22nd – Cole Stacey & The Story played their second full gig in Kilmington. Ryan Marks (Bass), Joe O’keefe (Piano & Violin), Terry Talbat (Drums) & Special Guest Peter Keith (Lead Guitar & Vocals) made up the line up. They were supported by ‘Bryher’ who played songs from her new album and Steve Waters who performed songs of his old and new. Pics can be seen here.

    Rough God

    March 16th- A solo gig at Sound Gallery’s ‘Sunday Social’ (The Phoenix Cafe Bar). A great Sunday afternoon venue with some stunning musicians who play, including Rebecca Worthley.

    Radio Ga Ga

    Cole’s been busy doing various radio sessions and has had his new EP played across the airwaves;

    • JumpRadio were the first to feature ‘Walk To Midnight’ back in early January 2008 quickly became a featured artist of theirs.
    • Cole’s performed many times for BBC Radio Devon, live in the studio and at live events (see here), ‘Walk To Midnight’ has also had airplay on BBC Radio Devon, Cornwall, Jersey and Guernsey.
    • ‘RFSW’ now regularly feature the whole of Cole’s EP on their playlist and have him as a featured artist on their website.
    • BBS Radio, based in America, who broadcast over the internet are now featuring ‘Walk To Midnight’ in the playlist.
    • BayFm Radio who broadcast throughout the 5 week period of Exmouth Festival asked Cole to play live in the Studio. He performed 3 tracks on Martin Weller’s show in the evening and chatted to Martin about the comings and goings of being a Devon-based musician!

    Next Radio Session: SUN JUNE 10TH – 10Radio Playing live and being interviewed on Doug Parish’s show from 5pm….Doug will then be including Cole’s EP on his play-list on future shows. Click Here for the Event on Last-Fm

    BBC RADIO DEVON

    In the last few months Cole’s been playing live at various events for those lovely people at BBC Radio Devon;

    • Appeared live on John Govier’s Late Night Show ( BBC Radio Devon, Cornwall, Jersey & Guernsey), the full interview & 3 live acoustic tracks can be heard by visiting John’s BBC webpage & Clicking on ‘Cole Stacey’
    • Was one of 4 Artists from the South West to feature on the first part of Kev Hucthings Special Bank Holiday Muisc Show. The show was recorded at Annabel’s in Plymouth with Cole supported by Joe O’keefe on Violin, some of the other artists included Jackie Oates, Jenna Witts & Nicky Swann.
    • Played live on stage & on air at Devon County Show (also performing was the brilliantly talented Ellie Williams) and on ‘JG’s Full House’ – a special, light hearted night coming live from Budleigh….you can read a write up on the BBC Website by Clicking Here
